PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A standard quality alkyd enamel, with good application properties and gloss finish.

INTENDED USES

It is designed for the interior and exterior protection of a variety of surfaces, such as all common metals, wood, and concrete.

SURFACE PREPARATION

1. The performance of this product will depend upon the degree of surface preparation.
2. All surfaces to be coated should be dry, clean, and free from mould and other contaminations.
3. Accumulated dirt and soluble salts must be removed prior to painting.
4. Dry wire brushing will be adequate for accumulated dirt.
5. Surfaces should be abrasive blasted clean to Sa2½ or SSPC-SP6.
6. Oil or grease should be removed by solvent cleaning.

NB. All Screed surfaces must be primed with Kings Paint Primer.

APPLICATION

Mixing

Stir thoroughly before use.

Thinning/Cleaning

Use Alkyd Kings Paint Thinner if necessary (THN/1000).

Method of Application

Brush, Roller, or Airless Spray.

Work Stoppages

Thoroughly flush all equipment with Kings Paint Alkyd Thinner/1000. Partially filled containers may show viscosity increase or skin formation of material after storage. Material should be filtered prior to use.

Product Characteristics

Anti-corrosive performance on hand-prepared substrates is determined by the extent of the substrate preparation and the dry film thickness. This product is not intended for use in aggressive, corrosive environments and immersion services.

Hazards

Flammable and harmful by inhalation.

Handling Requirements

Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. DO NOT handle in confined space. Avoid the formation or the spread of mist in the air. Smoking is forbidden. Use non-sparking tools.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, well-ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Store at 27C +/- 2C.
